The hotel offers clean, luxurious, and very comfortable rooms with the ambiance of burning fires inside. The service was exceptional, with helpful staff attending to every need. The location is stunning, perfect for leisurely walks amidst nature's beauty, and the dining experience is delightful. However, there were some issues with the cleanliness of water glasses in the room. Overall, a great value for the experience provided.

My stay at the hotel was a mixed experience. The rooms were luxurious with a huge bathtub and all the amenities one would expect, but unfortunately, the pillows were uncomfortable. The location was superb with breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside. The dining experience was one of the best I've had in a hotel as a vegetarian, but the breakfast service ended early, although the kitchen staff were accommodating. The service I received was friendly, knowledgeable, and intent on providing great service. The facilities were excellent overall.

I had a mixed experience at this hotel. The room I initially got was poor with a broken loo seat and steamed-up double glazed windows; however, I was later upgraded to a quite large room with a beautiful view of the castle. The service was excellent as the staff were very helpful, friendly, and efficient. The location was amazing, surrounded by nature and close to many attractions. The dining was outstanding with great food and morning views, but there was a slight hiccup with the kitchen closing early. Overall, a decent stay with some ups and downs.

I couldn't get enough of the gorgeous views from our room overlooking the gardens and the flowing river, even though it felt a bit over the top for my taste. The room itself was luxurious, complete with a huge bathtub and all the essentials, but those pillows were a letdown. Sadly, missing a kettle or minibar was a downside.

I absolutely loved this hotel! The rooms have been modernized and are sensational along the water, tastefully decorated with comfortable, intimate seating to play board games and relax in front of the wood stoves. They were beautifully decorated and comfortable. The service is the jewel in the crown, providing plenty of spaces to sit and read a paper or play scrabble or just sit and enjoy the big open log fires - truly a home from home. The staff truly took care of us so well, from making sure we were settled in our lovely rooms overlooking the stream below to preparing a beautiful fire in the drawing room for our after-dinner drinks. My stay at the hotel was a mix of wonderful and not so great moments. The room with the riverfront views was small but the King size bed was lovely. The double doors opened out to the lake, but there was a public path, so privacy was lacking. The service was top-class in every way, and the staff went above and beyond to help us organize activities.
